What distinguish our project is that all of our modules can be used separately keeping the system advantages. Custom communications using newest achievements in cross platform communication ensures that access to our modules won’t be limited to one programming language and system.

TechOcean introduces Internet of Robots:
General Idea:
Internet of Robots is a system which will accelerate prototyping and implementation of robotics and automatics applications. On today’s market there are components which allow us to fast prototype only in one of the ranges: electronics(dev kits), software(ROS), electronic hardware(pololu, dynamixel), mechanical hardware(item, 3D printing). The main limitation is lack of common(standardized) interfaces which in significant way expand time of integration of system’s components. Integration of different type of components demands from user specialistic(expanded) knowledge and experience in electronics, software and communication.

Technical info:
Internet of Robots main aim is to develop system of modules securing main functionalities for robot development. The main benefits of this system are:
• Many functionalities in one system
• Robust communication and electronics
• Black box action
• Lowering entry knowledge threshold
• Faster prototyping and development to market

The main technical challenges is integrating many modules in one system with possibility to develop new, more advanced modules in future. That’s why while working on Internet of Robots it’s important to prepare good basis for whole system. Thanks to this approach we can ensure no problems with backward compatibility.

System communications will be developed using DDS based on Vortex Opensplice, hardware will be based on SoC/SoM and custom electronics. For user the best advantage will be cross-platform api which will allow access from different programming languages/frameworks.
Our solution is addressed to:
• Professionals integrating robotics and automation applications
• Amateurs wanting to build robots with no big knowledge in electronics/software
Main use-cases for system are:
• Custom robotics: ground, flying, underwater robots
• Prototyping(research & development)
• Automatics: production lines, distributed systems(with big distances)
• Robotics education: kits for educational purpose
